Community Outreach to People with Disabilities

| These organizations are participating in our exclusive Community Outreach program. Through this program, groups and organizations that directly work with People with Disabilities receive open job notifications on a daily basis that match the criteria they specifically requested. These daily notifications (known as JobCasts™) can be customized by location, profession, education and experience. |
Ability Center of Defiance (Branch) The ILRU (Independent Living Research Utilization) program is a national center for information, training, research, and technical assistance in independent living. Its goal is to expand the body of knowledge in independent living and to improve utilization of results of research programs and demonstration projects in this field. It is a program of TIRR (The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research), a nationally recognized medical rehabilitation facility for persons with disabilities. |

Autism Society Northwest Ohio Chapter The Autism Society, the nation’s leading grassroots autism organization, exists to improve the lives of all affected by autism. We do this by increasing public awareness about the day-to-day issues faced by people on the spectrum, advocating for appropriate services for individuals across the lifespan, and providing the latest information regarding treatment, education, research and advocacy.

AWS AWS provides direct care services to infants, children, adults and senior citizens with disabilities. Today, more than 3,000 people are receiving some type of service from AWS. It may be a little bit or a lot; every day or once in a lifetime. It could be at home, on the job or in a social setting. |
