Job Description

As an OBI Repository Architect you are a member of PNC's Information Technology/Enterprise Information Management (EIM)/Business Information Delivery organization. You will be based in Brook Park, Ohio, Strongsville, Ohio or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You will report to the VP/Manager of BI Standards & Architecture.

In your role, you will work directly with individual project teams in designing and delivering projects to the line of business. You will monitor upcoming OBIEE versions and the implications of new functionality on PNC current and future requirements. You define training curriculum and coding standards based on PNC BI goals and strategies. You maintain enterprise knowledge across all subject areas of the repositories (RPDs) deployed in production. You collaborate with the BI Best Practices Lead and individual BI Developers to implement solid RPD designs following stated best practices across physical, business and presentation models.


The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

* Ten (10) or more years experience in enterprise-level business intelligence and data warehousing

* Three (3) years experience in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

* Proven ability to architect multiple projects simultaneously and leverage knowledge across each one

* Strong knowledge and proven experience in metadata (RPD) design and development

* Experience in database design methodologies and dimensional modeling

* Basic understanding of the core concepts for data governance and metadata management

* Exposure/experience with ETL processes (Informatica is a plus)

* Demonstrated proficiency with SQL (Oracle and SQL Server databases a plus)

* Understanding of enterprise authentication/authorization controls and processes (LDAP, SSO, Windows security, etc)

* Demonstrated competency of the Linux Redhat and Windows Server operating systems

* Basic understanding of networking concepts

* Basic understanding of J2EE hosting / Web Hosting technologies (Apache/IBM Websphere a plus)

* Basic understanding of change control and multi-user development environment concepts (Harvest, Clearcase a plus)
