Job Description
Olympic Steel’s centralized IT Department offers a wide variety of value-added IT services to its 17 business units. The IT Department supports the business by maintaining current knowledge of the business and market conditions, in addition to combining varying skill sets and perspectives to implement better business solutions. Olympic Steel provides each individual the opportunity to expand their knowledge and career in a challenging environment supporting a custom ERP application utilizing an Oracle database.

The SharePoint Administrator/Developer will be responsible for the administration and light development of Olympic Steel’s O365  and on-premise SharePoint environment. The candidate will be responsible for the administration of both SharePoint and hosted OnBase, working to create modifications and supporting the content owners. The candidate will focus primarily on workflows, and possess an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Servers, including SQL. The SharePoint Administrator/Developer will collaborate with the IT team on projects and other tasks in addition to daily duties.

Job Duties
  • Support of on-premise and cloud SharePoint environments.
  • Documents, monitors, and audits those environments.
  • Develops, tests and implements software solutions.
  • Designs software solutions to address business needs.
  • Writes workflows, code, tests and deploys software.
  • Provides maintenance to systems and applications.
  • Primary resource for web sites and application issues.
  • Works in collaboration with the rest of the IT team on projects or other tasks.
  • Development of performance metrics for optimizing performance on site delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in SharePoint Administration/Development.
  • Intermediate PowerShell experience required.
  • Familiarity and/or working knowledge of Hyland OnBase.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Server platform and its components including, Windows Server 2008/2008 R2/2012 R2, failover clustering, IIS, and other related technologies.
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer /InfoPath or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online 0365 RMS.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of SharePoint services (creating list views ,webparts, etc.)
  • Experience with SharePoint and OnBase workflow systems.
  • Experience writing/maintaining appropriate scripts to automate system administration and recurring jobs.
  • Working knowledge of ASP.net, as well as HTML/CSS/jQuery to resolve UI issues a plus but not required.
  • Experience supporting end users, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
