On-Call Behavioral Health Residential Specialist (Substitute Position/PRN)

Job Description
GCB is hiring for a pool of Sub Residential Specialists to provide coverage at our transitional living house in Walnut Hills, Cincinnati, OH. This house provides temporary living arrangements for behavioral health clients transitioning from the hospital back into the community. This position is on-call but can lead to a regular part-time or full-time position. This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, and Addictions who are looking to get some experience in behavioral health on a part-time/on-call basis. A lot of candidates will have a full-time job elsewhere and work in this position on-call when they are available to pick up shifts.

Position Responsibilities:
- Provides residential coverage and management of facility/program during assigned shift.
- Provides services to clients: medication training; individual goal plan implementation; independent living skills training; personal care training; personal and interpersonal skills development; program orientation; general supervision.
- Participates in day-to-day operation of the program: menu planning and meal preparation; housekeeping; grounds keeping; facility management; and safety and security systems as necessary.
Position Requirements:
- Requires 2 years of college in a human services field or equivalent combination of education and experience in a human services organization.
- Familiarity with mental health population.
- Good communication and organizational skills, basic computer knowledge, and good problem-solving skills.
