Job Description
Provides counseling, mental health, and substance abuse services to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups that is representative of cases within the agency.

Integrated Counseling Therapist working at the NKY Health Department

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provides trauma informed care treatment to clients in an office based off site (NKY Independent Health District) setting.
  • Provides mental health counseling to clients referred by the NKYIHD HIV/AIDS Care Coordinator Program
  • Provides individual, couple, family and group therapy as dictated by client needs
  • Performs a variety of casework duties, including analysis of assessment data, formulation of treatment plan, and implementation of the treatment

Position Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in social work or counseling from an accredited college or university
  • LCSW or LPCC preferred.
  • Experience in treatment of the HIV/AIDS population.
  • Has knowledge of a variety of treatment approaches and modalities including:  psycho-dynamic, psycho-social, solution focused, family therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, systems approach, strength based approaches, cognitive behavioral, substance abuse, sex abuse treatment and other evidence or research based approaches.
