The Accounts Receivable Associate safely performs position specific responsibilities in line with Olympic Steel’s Core Values to ensure a high level of productivity, quality and internal and external customer service while adhering to all relevant company policies and procedures. The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for daily posting of payments to customer accounts for the entire organization, settlement of credit card authorizations, investigating cash receipt discrepancies, assisting Corporate and divisional credit personnel with research and system maintenance of customer accounts. The Accounts Receivable Associate maintains efficient and accurate files for reference and compliance and supports the company’s continuous improvement activities. The AR Associate will also interact with different departments throughout the company, including Credit and Accounting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
3+ years of office accounting or financial work experience.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, notably Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to self-motivate and complete all tasks in timely fashion.
