This position is responsible to integrate behavioral health services into the YWCA Shelters by providing training and education and awareness building to Shelter staff as well as to residents and by providing individual, family and/or group counseling for residents as needed based on an assessment.
We are looking for an individual with a BSW/LSW or a MSW/LSW or MA/LPC. We also offer free licensure supervision. We are looking for a full time employee or 2 part time employees. This position will be split between Hamilton Co. and Clermont Co.
Position Responsibilities:
Teaches, trains, and leads Shelter staff to increased knowledge of trauma, resilience and overall wellness by fully integrating behavioral health into the culture and fabric of the Shelter operations.
Provides trauma-informed, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and or other best or evidence-based practices therapy to the residents of the YWCA Hamilton County Domestic Violence Shelter and Clermont County House of Peace.
Conduct support groups with adult survivors of domestic violence.
Provides case management, connections to community resources, other duties as required to individuals and their families.
Ability to create, implement and evaluate treatment plans according to individual client needs. Ability to re-assess client’s need for therapy throughout process.
Works collaboratively with team including shelter staff, other therapists, care managers, supervisor, clerical support workers, and psychiatrists to provide service to clients. Ongoing communication is necessary with all team members.
Ability to maintain accurate, timely treatment records for each client. Excellent verbal skills are necessary to clearly communicate with clients and other staff. Ability to read and understand clinical reports and professional literature.
Position Requirements:
Master’s degree in Social Work or at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related degree from an accredited college or university and at least two years of supervised experience in the field.
Licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Board (LSW, LISW, PC, PCC) or otherwise credentialed to provide Counseling and case management services.
Position requires use of personal mobile phone. Position requires occasional driving of own vehicle. Valid driver’s license and vehicle may be required.
