Job Description
We are currently seeking a detail oriented professional who enjoys working as part of a team for the Controller position.

GCB’s mission is to ensure that people with mental illness, addiction, and related challenges live healthy and productive lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the Accounting activities for the accurate and timely issuance of monthly financial reports.   
  • Establish and maintain the accounting software including controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data.
  • Responsible for month-end close activities and financial and account analysis.
  • Oversee the work and manage Accounting staff and their related responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the coordination of work for completion of the annual financial audit.
  • Manages agency financial policies; maintaining compliance with the IRS, GAAP and CARF Standards.
  • Review and/or complete reconciliations of account balances on a monthly basis.
  • Ensures properly reporting of GCB consolidation activity.
  • Prepare reports as directed by the CFO with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and committees. Assist in implementing necessary processes and procedure improvements as directed by the CFO.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
SKILL COMPETENCIES:
  • Knowledge of accounting software and other financial applications.
  • Advanced Excel skills to include creation of pivot tables, VLookup and dashboards.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills with the ability to work well with all levels of colleagues. 
  • Ability to analyze data and document and explain variances.
  • Excellent time management skills for timely completion of data requests.
  • Able to work independently and efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA certification preferred.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a GAAP environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytic and analysis skills. 
  • Position requires occasional driving of own vehicle.  Valid driver’s license and vehicle may be required.
