Job Description

Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCB) has an immediate opening for a School Based Team Supervisor!  Join our multidisciplinary treatment organization as a member of School Based Services team.  Through counseling, care management, and group services, GCB’s licensed therapists help students and families realize their potential and overcome challenges.  Schools see better academic performance, and the community at large benefits from having healthier children and families.

**This is a 10 month position

Position Responsibilities:
  • Possesses knowledge of a variety of treatment approaches and modalities including:  trauma informed care, psycho-social, solution focused, family therapy, systems approach, strength based approaches, cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, DBT techniques, TF-CBT substance abuse and sex abuse treatment and is able to provide supervision to staff using these techniques.
  • Functions as a liaison with school personnel.
  • Maintains established procedures and identifies and solves problems.
  • Knows and refers to the SBS policy manual to make decisions
  • Provides ongoing supervision for SBS staff.
  • Is responsible for attaining program goals.
  • Provides mental health treatment to a reduced caseload.
  • Attends agency training as well as ongoing professional seminars and conferences to increase professional knowledge in specific areas agreed upon with supervisor, and obtains sufficient CEU’s to maintain licensure.
Position Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in social work or counseling required at the independent level.
  • Licensed by the appropriate Board to provide supervision in the state in which they work
  • Prior experience working with children and families through work experience and/or internships.
  • Be flexible to negotiate the politics of the school.
  • Proficient at medical records documentation.
