Job Description

GCB has an immediate opening for a Data & Evaluation Specialist for our Hamilton County/Cincinnati office. We are looking for a candidate who possesses a BA degree in Social Work, Human Services, or Psychology or an equivalent degree/experience working with persons who are experiencing homelessness and substance use disorder. This is a part time position working 20 hrs./week.

Responsibilities for Data & Evaluation Specialist:

  • Provides data management support services to two grant-funded teams which serve persons with homelessness and substance use disorder.
  • Maintains the project’s charts and data, participates in the collection of outcome data from clients, which may include conducting face to face interviews, and manages all required data collection and data entry.
  • Responsible for providing support services to team staff and clients.
  • May assist in outreach and engagement activities with the project’s targeted population, individuals experiencing homelessness with substance use disorders.
  • Encourage clients through his/her interactions to reach their goals by successfully participating in the housing supports and other recovery-oriented services offered through the Break Free Cincinnati project.
  • Collects, manages and evaluates all other performance outcome data.
  • Provides administrative support for all data management activities.
  • Engages clients to successfully participate in housing, case management, SUD treatment, employment and other supportive services deemed beneficial to each client’s recovery.
Requirements for Data & Evaluation Specialist:  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder system, mental health and/or homeless community.
  • Experience with data collection including conducting personal interviews desired.
  • Must be extremely organized and have familiarity with populations experiencing homelessness and substance abuse.
  • Must possess good communication and problem-solving skills as well as have a basic knowledge of computers, especially Microsoft programs.
  • Experience in data management and reporting preferred.
