Job Description

Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) is looking for a Peer Case Manager candidate for our Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic in Amelia.  We now offer a $1,200 annual bonus ($300 per quarter) in addition to our competitive salary. 

We are looking for candidates who are current or former behavioral health consumers with a BA in Psychology/Social Work/Human Services or a HS Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of related mental health experience.  This position is part of the Clermont Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team.  ACT Team Members serve as members of a multidisciplinary team and provides services as both a specialist and a generalist to all the team’s clients. Clients on the ACT team are those who meet ACT Diagnostic criteria of severe mentally illness, whose functioning is significantly impaired by their mental illness and who have not been successful with traditional care management services. Clients may be dually diagnosed with a co-occurring substance use disorder. The Peer Case Manager establishes therapeutic relationships, assesses complex problems, selects problem-solving interventions, and helps clients to function effectively.

Responsibilities for Peer Case Manager: 

  • Provides Community Psychiatric Support Treatment (CPST) services and Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) to persons with severe mental illness in an outpatient facility and in the community.
  • Provides peer support services.
  • Provides face to face services in the office and in the community along with telehealth services.
  • Establishes therapeutic relationships, assesses complex problems, selects problem-solving interventions, and helps clients to function effectively.
  • Coordinates access to the recommended medical treatment services, employment assistance, housing assistance, and other targeted services.
Requirements for Peer Case Manager:  
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related Human Services field or a HS Diploma and 3 years of experience working with persons with mental illness.
  • Candidates must be a former or current behavioral health consumer.
  • Position requires frequent driving of own personal vehicle.  A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurable driving record are required.

$34,521-$36,930 plus bonus
Pay Differential for MA Degree! We pay a starting rate of $34,521 for BA or Non-Degree with 3 Years Related Experience and $36,930 for MA. We also offer a $1,200 annual bonus (paid as $300 quarterly) in addition to our competitive salary.
