GCBHS has an immediate opening in Clermont County for a Counselor/Diagnostician to help individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorder in our outpatient behavioral health clinic in Amelia, Ohio. This position helps clients access services and receive ongoing counseling treatment.
The ideal candidate will have an Ohio LSW or LPC and experience working with individuals receiving treatment for individuals with severe mental illness and substance use disorder. This is a great position for someone with a BSW/LSW or MA/LPC who wants to get experience and attain their independent license! We will consider MSW/MA students with an active SWT or CT license. The applicant must be able to pass the LSW or LPC exam at the end of their trainee license. We offer $1,500 per semester tuition assistance for a MSW or Counseling degree. We also offer free license supervision hours and continuing education credits.
This position is part of the Clermont Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. ACT Team Members serve as members of a multidisciplinary team and provides services as both a specialist and a generalist to all the team’s clients. Clients on the ACT team are those who meet ACT Diagnostic criteria of severe mentally illness, whose functioning is significantly impaired by their mental illness and who have not been successful with traditional care management services. Clients may be dually diagnosed with a co-occurring substance use disorder. The Peer Case Manager establishes therapeutic relationships, assesses complex problems, selects problem-solving interventions, and helps clients to function effectively.
