GCBHS has an immediate opening for a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor for our new Integrated Behavioral Health Clinic in Amelia, OH.  This position will assess the needs of SUD clients who have been referred internally from our new Rapid Engagement to Care Team.  The SUD Counselor will update the Diagnostic Assessment Form (DAF) for the client and then provide ongoing counseling therapy.

The ideal candidate will have an Ohio LSW or LPC and experience performing diagnostic assessments.  Experience working with individuals in substance use disorder and/or mental health treatment.  We offer free continuing education credits to maintain your license and tuition assistance benefits.

• Assesses the needs of individuals seeking services for gambling, alcohol or other drugs through the DAF.
• Facilitates therapeutic cognitive behaviorally based groups for alcohol and other drug treatment.
• Conducts individual and family counseling sessions to identify those problems the client has which may interfere with the recovery process and develop appropriate treatment for client.
• Makes appropriate referrals for further counseling and services to improve client’s quality of life and improve likelihood of recovery.
• Collaborates with other internal and external providers to ensure clients receive assistance with housing, employment, and medication assistance.

• Ohio LSW or LPC required.
• Experience working with individuals in behavioral health treatment.
