GCBHS has an immediate opening at our Amelia, Ohio office for a part-time Counseling Therapist to help individuals, children, and families who are experiencing mental health and substance use disorder. This position is part of our new Integrated Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic in Clermont County. This position is part-time with flexible hours.
The ideal candidate will have an Ohio LSW or LPCand experience working with individuals receiving treatment for individuals with mental illness and substance use disorder. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) experience strongly preferred.
This is a great position for someone with a BSW/LSW or MSW/LSW or MA/LPC who wants to get experience and attain their independent license! We will consider MSW and MA-Counseling students with an active SWT or CT license. The applicant must be able to pass the LSW or LPC exam at the end of their trainee license. We offer free license supervision hours and continuing education credits.
Position Responsibilities:
Provides counseling, mental health, and substance abuse services to individuals and families in accordance with the agencies strategic plan while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Provides face-to-face service hours based on agency productivity standards.
Provides individual, couple, family and group therapy as dictated by client needs.
Performs a variety of casework duties, including analysis of assessment data, formulation of treatment plan, and implementation of the treatment
Position Requirements:
Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling or within 6 months of completion.
Ohio LSW, LISW, LPC or LPCC required.
Active SWT or CT license will be considered if within 6 months of completion of master’s degree. Applicant must be able to pass the LSW or LPC exam upon finishing degree program.
Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strongly preferred.
Has knowledge of a variety of treatment approaches and modalities including: psycho-dynamic, psycho-social, solution focused, family therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, systems approach, strength based approaches, cognitive behavioral, substance abuse, sex abuse treatment and other evidence or research based approaches.
