Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Child & Family Studies, Human Services, Psychology or closely related field.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Field-based position establishes supportive working relationships with the parent and baby through face-to-face interaction and visitation in the physical home setting
  • Provides support and information in the areas of Child Development, Parenting, Parental Health, Personal/Environmental Safety, Social Supports and Life Course Development
  • Coordinates health, family support, and social services needed by the family; provides referrals and linkage to other services
  • Provides child development screening using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire
  • Utilizes the Growing Great Kids curriculum.

Position Requirements:
  • BA in Social Work, Psychology, Child & Family Studies or closely related field (such as Criminal Justice) required.
  • Must possess one year of experience in a similar community-based role such as Case Management or Home Visiting or experience with Child Development.
  • Position requires frequent driving of own personal vehicle.  A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurable driving record are required.
  • MA degree is preferred and LSW will receive a pay differential.
  • Ability to work independently.  Ability to establish trusting relationships.
  • Open to reflective practice (ie: has capacity for introspection, communicates awareness of self in relation to others, recognizes the value of supervision, etc.)
  • Experience working with children and families and knowledge of infant and child development.

$34,521 plus $1,200 Bonus
