Job Description: The ideal candidate will possess friendly and outgoing demeanor with a strong aptitude for customer service. Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish (verbal and written), detail oriented and ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment is a must! BASIC FUNCTION: The Human Resources Intern is responsible for supporting a variety of responsibilities within the department including, but not limited to, recruiting, employee relations, benefits, training, record keeping and payroll related inquiries. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE: + High school graduate or equivalent. + Taking HR or Business based classes toward and Associates or Bachelors degree. + Bi-lingual in Spanish. Command of both the English and Spanish languages both written and verbal required with ability to communicate effectively. + Strong computer skills ability to quickly learn new technology programs. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. + Previous experience in an HR office setting or handling confidential information in an office setting preferred. + Previous HRIS and LMS program experience a plus. + Good organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to meet deadlines. + Ability to maintain confidentiality as appropriate in an HR office. + Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + On a daily basis, supports the overall operations of the Human Resources office and Human Resources Director. + Answer the HR office lines and communicate between various departments. + Organizes and accurately maintains electronic and paper file systems, correspondence and other records. + Assists with phone screens and interview process, hiring and on-boarding coordination and reference checks. + Assists in translating (English to Spanish both written and verbal) in appointments, meetings, training and other informational purposes. + Efficiently and accurately utilizes various web-based programs to support general office operations such as Workday, E-Verify, SIDES, BIZ Library, Aestiva purchasing system and others. + Assist in coordination of recruitment and training as needed. + Attends job fairs and other resort sponsored events as necessary. + Follow established health and safety procedures for resort. + Coordinate, prepare for and assist with weekly and monthly meetings. + Inventory supplies on a weekly and monthly basis to ensure adequate supply. + This is a very active role. Ability to sit, stand, walk - frequently throughout the entire shift necessary. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: + Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned. + Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours. ENVIRONMENT: Office setting, artificial lighting, regulated temperature, with high volume phones, a desk and a mobile desk chair. Hard surface flooring.
