Job Description
Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has an immediate opening for a Psychosocial Activities Facilitator for our outpatient behavioral health wellness program in East Walnut Hills, Cincinnati, Ohio.

This position works with adult clients in mental health and substance use disorder treatment to help them engage in wellness-related activities and projects.  The Wellness Center is a peer-lead program serving individuals with MH and SUD disorders.

Position Responsibilities
  • Promotes daily psychosocial group activities and outings.
  • Researches and develops community resources in response to identified member needs.
  • Serves as a liaison between the consumers and their Care Managers and Therapists.
  • Ensures that all groups will be conducted in a professional manner with emphases on demonstrating a positive interpersonal attitude.
  • Develop and plan curriculum for all activities.
  • Assist with planning and implementing all special events. i.e. Thanksgiving, Holiday House, Prom, etc.
  • Promotes the Recovery Model.                                                     
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and problem solving capabilities, and serves as a positive role model for members.
                                                           
Position Requirements: 
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Lived experience of mental illness and/or substance use and willingness to self-identify as being in recovery and share personal journey to support and benefit members of the program.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Certified by the state as a peer preferred but not required.
  • Position requires occasional driving of own vehicle.  Valid driver's license and vehicle may be required.
