Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Place purchase orders with suppliers and follow-up when necessary to avoid stockouts.
  • Ensure accuracy of purchase order due dates.
  • Promise customer orders based on the availability of material and capacity.
  • Release production orders to manufacturing based on material availability.
  • Work with manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement improvements to lower inventory, reduce stockouts and to improve on-time delivery.
  • Maintain master data information in SAP.
  • Create and/or publish planning reports.
Background & Skills
  • Seeking a degree in Supply Chain & Operations Management, Business, or related field; At least two years of relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • APICS certification or commitment to attain.
  • Previous experience with SAP a plus.
  • Passionate about learning and to continuously improve skills.
  • Organized and process oriented.
  • Professional and outstanding communication skills in all aspects and situations especially, when dealing with customers, suppliers and co-workers.
