Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has immediate openings for Licensed Counselors and Social Workers to help individuals, children, and families experiencing mental health and substance use disorder. We have positions available for Counselors, Mental Health Diagnosticians/clinicians, and Counseling therapists.

Position Responsibilities for Diagnostician/Clinician (LPC,LSW)

  • Provide expertise in utilizing therapeutic interview and assessment techniques appropriate for each client's needs, including MI, CBT, DBT, and other agency-endorsed practices.
  • Coordinate and develop appropriate treatment recommendations which will include services and assistance necessary to achieve specific objectives, as well as identify the intensity and duration required of services
  • Diagnose appropriately using DSM-5.
  • Coordinate and participate in the team's development of a personal service plan which will include services and assistance necessary to achieve specific objectives, as well as identify the intensity and duration required of therapy
  • Create, implement and evaluate treatment plans according to individual client needs

Position Responsibilities for Counseling Therapist (LPC, LSW)

  • Provide expertise in utilizing therapeutic techniques appropriate for each client's needs, including Brief Solution Focused Therapy and other best or evidence-based practices
  • Provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy as dictated by the client's needs
  • Knowledge of the spectrum of mental illness, symptomology, psychotropic medication, and problems presented in adjusting to life cycle changes. Diagnose appropriately using DSM 5.
  • Maintain accurate, timely treatment records for each client.
  • Provide face-to-face service hours based on agency productivity standards.

The ideal candidate will have an Ohio: LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC, CT, SW-T (CSW can be considered) and experience working with individuals receiving treatment or individuals with mental illness and substance use disorder. Prior experience as a Case Manager or Behavioral Health Technician is a plus. This is a great position for someone with a BSW/LSW or MSW/LSW or MA/LPC who wants to get experience and attain their independent license! We offer free license supervision hours and continuing education credits.

We have positions available at our offices in E. Walnut Hills, Amelia, and Batavia. You can select if you want to work in Cincinnati or Clermont County.
