The Regional Safety, Health & Environmental Manager assists with the oversight of SH&E programs for a group of divisions/facilities. This person will work closely with the Safety representatives from each division, driving the successful implementation of company SH&E goals and policies. The Regional SH&E Manager will help develop and review policies, procedures and training content alongside the Director of SH&E. The Regional SH&E Manager ensures that divisions maintain compliance with current regulations by working with Safety Representatives and General Managers to implement timely solutions to identified issues and increase safety performance and culture throughout the region.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a safety-related field; safety-related certifications (OHST, CSP, COSS, CSP) preferred.
5+ years of safety experience in a heavy manufacturing, industrial and/or steel environment
Ability to collect/analyze data and prepare reports
Ability to help organize and facilitate all external audits/inspections
Strong desire and ability to lead and mentor others
Customer-focused with the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of employees
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs
