Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul vehicles and machinery, such as Ford F-series vehicles, trailers, small  tools.

Essential Functions Statement(s):
  • Record details of repairs made and parts used. 
 
  • Reassemble vehicles and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments as necessary. 
  • Maintain, repair, and overhaul vehicles, such as pickup trucks, car and suv’s. 
  • Examine and listen to vehicles, read inspection reports, and confer with operators to locate and diagnose malfunctions. 
  • Dismantle defective vehicles for repair, using personal hand tools. 
  • Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. 
  • Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. 
  • Clean and lubricate parts. 
  • Tune or overhaul engines. 
  • Fabricate new metal parts, using plasma cutter, welder, and other general shop tools. 
  • Use an android tablet and or laptop to make a record of repairs made, labor time, and parts used. 
  • Diagnose, repair or replace vehicle systems and or components. 
   
SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: 
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): preferred
Experience:  Automotive repair experience preferred
Computer Skills: Must be familiar with Microsoft office, scheduling software and standard functions of transferring, saving and imputing of data on a computer. Must be able to operate an android smart phone or tablet.
Other Requirements: Clean Driving record and the ability to pass a background investigation, and drug screening.
