The BNYM Scottsdale Fund Administration Department is part of a Financial Services industry that operates in a fast paced, tight deadline environment. The department is responsible for preparing fund expense analyses/budgets and monitoring expense accruals; preparing monthly reimbursement calculations; validating monthly asset-based fees; creating financial statements from trial balances; analyzing and reconciling financial data to generate Semi-Annual and Annual Reports and assisting in the completion of various SEC filings.
This position is responsible for reviewing of Semi-Annual and Annual Reports in addition to monthly expense budgeting and reimbursement analysis. The role would require training and managing of staff in the preparation of the financial statements as well as other job-related responsibilities including analysis of monthly expense accruals and reimbursement/recoupment of fees and processing of monthly asset-based fees. The Manager would be directly responsible for interacting with the client to provide support and offer clarification during audit cycles.
* Bachelor's degree in either Accounting or Finance required with 5-7 years of accounting experience. Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred. Mutual Fund or Financial Services industry experience is a definite plus.
* Have a high attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to function in a dynamic, tight deadline environment.
* Have the ability to motivate staff to accomplish tasks assigned to them and have the ability to provide guidance on resolution of issues and to properly train and develop staff as needed.
* Have strong written and verbal communication skills combined with strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
