DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: May do any or all of the following: Provides direct service to clients, co-facilitates educational/discussion groups, complete chemical dependency and mental health assessments, provide individual counseling, provide case management as needed, attend staff meetings, attend community events to represent the agency, participate in agency-wide activities, engage in professional development training opportunities.
NOTE: The intern may not be assigned every duty as listed above; the intern may be assigned additional duties not herein listed, in accordance with his or her learning goals and skill level.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Attend all supervision sessions. Attend all training sessions required by Site Supervisor and/ or Intern Supervisor
TIME NEEDS: Usual office hours are 8:00 to 5:00 P.M. Some groups meet in the evening and on weekends. Intern's days and hours are negotiable.
EXPOSURES: Contact with the general public. Contact with various populations depending on site choice.
EVALUATION: Interns will be evaluated weekly on an informal basis and formally at 30 days, at the end of each academic semester.
