Job Description
Postdoctoral researcher to pursue specialized research training and experience under the guidance of scientific mentors in a research laboratory within the Department of Otolaryngology; collaborates with principal investigators (PIs) on research investigating vestibular function and biocybernetics (i.e., human-machine interactions); develops and implements new and/or revised research methodologies and techniques; actively participates in the recruitment and interview of prospective study participants; plans and designs research to test hypotheses; designs and conducts advanced and complex experiments; creates stimulus materials and performs testing of human subjects; collects, analyzes, models and/or interprets research data; compiles and interprets research findings for dissemination of research results to the scientific community; prepares oral presentations for national and international scientific conferences, workshops and seminars; writes and submits manuscripts, articles and research reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals; oversees and manages lab equipment and records; assists PIs in preparing grant applications to obtain funding in support of research; collaborates with PIs to develop and establish goals and objectives of research; participates in training and oversight of students and clinicians. Term position duration 1.25-1.75 years.

Minimum Education Required
Doctorate (Academic) or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in engineering or psychology


Required Qualifications
PhD in Engineering, Psychology, Human Factors, Physiology, Audiology, Physical Therapy, or other STEM fields required; research experience desired; ; strong computer skills preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
