Job Description

In the role of Warehouse II, supporting Receiving, you will be responsible for verifying and keeping records ofthe receiving of merchandise and inventory; supervising stocking and storage; and processing receipts under time definitive constraints.Secondary responsibilities of this position will include duties related to moving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containers.
  • Inserts items into containers.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Routes items to departments.
  • Examines incoming shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Operateslift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
  • Creates "Receiving Invoices" in advance of scheduled appointments by obtaining PO information from packing slip.
  • Administers the processing and check in of inbound inventory.
  • Tracks and traces shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Provides identifier with appropriate receiving paperwork from ADB to allow for identification of products.
  • Responsible for overseeing the returns process.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Verifies, identifies, sorts, counts and tracks all material, utilizing the Syteline to maintain accurate inventory records/information.
  • Verifies receipts, logs them according to required procedures, and investigates/resolves situations where items received are not documented in the daily receipt log.
  • Accurately enters data relating to inventory into Syteline on a timely basis.
  • Maintains and assist Management in the recycling of material in the Warehouse.
  • Interacts with other departments to provide warehouse information as requested.
  • Perform daily and weekly material warehouse audits ensuring that material is maintained neatly and undamaged throughout the warehouse. Advises leadership of cycle count variances/issues on a timely basis.
  • Ensures all material and documents received in the warehouse are of satisfactory quality.
  • Safely utilizes forklifts/power jacks to move warehouse materials as directed and according to proper safety instructions.
  • Moves approved raw materials from the warehouse to production as needed.
  • Performs packaging materials cycle counts.
  • Delivers raw materials to production for manufacturing needs.
  • Assists the shipping department, as necessary, in normal department routines including shipping and receiving.
  • Assists in maintaining warehouse facility.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner observing all safety rules, following
  • Actively participates in lean transformation initiatives in support of company's improvement efforts

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.

COMPETENCIES:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED andone tothree years of related experience and/or training; Secondary education inMaterials Management or related degree;or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the safe operation of forklift; experience with stretch-wrap equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Working knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order Processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Knowledgeable in warehousing procedures.
  • Attention to detail is a must.

Must be able to work overtime as needed/required.

This position requires the ability to regularly lift 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
