Join us as a Chief Mechanical Officer and you will be looking at a career-defining role based in Sanford, FL. The Chief Mechanical plans, organizes, directs, controls, and coordinates the safe and efficient mechanical operations activities such as daily maintenance, preventive or scheduled overhauls.

In your role as a Chief Mechanical Officer you will:

Direct, Control and Supervise the performance of the department including customer service, equipment reliability, property management and transportation for an efficient and safe twenty-four/seven operation of the service contract.

Direct and Administer the supervisory and technical staff to insure quality and timely

delivery of maintenance operations as outlined in the service contract.

Ensure timely delivery of equipment to customer to maintain uptime availability of rolling equipment by insuring quality and safe working conditions as outlined in equipment specifications.

Serve as liaison with customer and Alstom Transportation to ensure quality service is provided. Insures that all jurisdictional specifications, standards, Federal/State or Province regulations or laws, BTNA policies are followed and communicated to employees accordingly.

Supervise, hire, monitor and coordinate work activities of direct reports. Control expenditures in accordinace with budget, review and authorize purchase of supplies, services and equipment.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering Degree and/or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.

  • 10 years of experience.

Technical skills/knowledge (if required):

  • Advanced experience with MS Office.

  • Ability to learn new software applications such as Maximo and SAP.

  • Must be familiar with Title 49 CFR rules and regulations in regards to passenger rail industry.

  • Familiar with and experience in managing complex administration departments and asset.

  • FRA and DOT knowledge.
