Description

The Product and Marketing Data Specialist is responsible for managing the data integrity of products within our PIM (Product Information Management) system, ERP, CMS, CRM, catalogs, and SharePoint folders. The Data Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and modifying data infrastructure. This person will lead the governance of data for our global portfolio, including assurance of technical product data accuracy to written standards, processes for uploads into each system, and compliance with data management requirements.

  • Development and execution of MCS PIM Strategy and Roadmap.
  • Prioritizes for ongoing support and roadmap, support business process development in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Acts as Project Manager as well as System Administrator and leads implementations and other efforts and developments in the system with external partners.
  • Responsible for User Management and System support for all MCS brands globally.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring expected availability of the product portfolio and its data in PIM.
  • Responsible for partners providing technical product data for digital channels. as CDS, Solid components etc.
  • Supporting new product introductions when needed, for example coordinating product data communication, digital partners etc.
  • Monitor upcoming updates and changes to PIM.
  • Responsible for any duties connected to the System Ownership of InRiver.
  • Responsible for internally communicating PIM related information to relevant stakeholders and users.
  • Develops and updates Standard Works, User guides and Processes.
  • Arranges PIM trainings for admins.
  • Monitor and document costs for the system such as development, licenses etc.
  • Leads and supports the development of communication material based on product data such as catalogues, price lists etc.
  • KPI responsibilities: % of Product SKU:s in PIM, PIM Data Completeness (TBD).
  • Adherence to the Barnes Group Code of Ethics and Conduct

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of product management, marketing or IT focusing on support systems/digital tools, preferably within industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of working with system administration and system governance.
  • Capable of performing project management, research and business development with a global mindset and applying to local markets.
  • Preferably general PIM administration knowledge or InRiver specific.
  • Experienced in identifying opportunities and describing business benefits added by the system.
  • Able to communicate and engage personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Emotionally intelligent individual who challenges acts with a sense of urgency to drive results.

Hybrid position in either Brecksville or Maumee, Ohio
