Under the General Supervision of the General Manager, the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning, implementation and supervision of the Accident Prevention Plan. The SSHO will be on site at all times when work is being performed and be responsible for the overall management of the safety and occupational health program. The SSHO will conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log which includes area/operation inspected, date of inspection, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is usually in a field setting. The employee will be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is consistent with construction sites. Travel may be required.
