OVERVIEW - FINANCIAL SPONSORS GROUP INTERNSHIP

Fifth Third's Financial Sponsors Group ("FSG") is a ~20-person team providing nationwide coverage to 200+ of the most successful private equity firms and family offices in the country.

"Financial Sponsors" include private equity firms, growth investors, venture capital firms, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and other organizations that invest in privately held and publicly traded businesses across various lifecycle stages.

Our FSG team acts as a trusted partner to our clients by thinking beyond individual transactions. We are the liaison between Fifth Third and the private equity community, lending our balance sheet to support buyouts & recapitalizations, providing innovative investment ideas and delivering financing perspectives. Our highly strategic advisory approach makes us uniquely qualified to deliver M&A, leveraged finance, loan syndication and equity franchise solutions to the financial sponsor community and their existing & future portfolio companies. As part of Fifth Third, FSG partners with both industry and product teams to achieve consistently strong execution on behalf of our clients.

As an intern on the FSG team you will:

• Familiarize yourself with Fifth Third's financial sponsor clients and their portfolio companies
• Collaborate with industry and product partners to review and execute inbound transactions
• Create discussion materials in PowerPoint to guide client meetings
• Assist in tracking relevant assets in market
• Develop prospective buyer insights for M&A pitches and live engagements
• Prepare valuation materials utilizing various methodologies including, but not limited to, leveraged buyout ("LBO"), public & M&A comparables
• Perform in-depth analysis of relevant industries and companies to craft idea generation materials, such as PowerPoint decks for pitches
• Familiarize yourself with Mergermarket, S&P Capital_IQ, Pitchbook, Macabacus, and other relevant third-party resources
• Assist in event planning (Private Capital Summit, industry specific events, etc)

GENERAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - CAPITAL MARKETS:

• Assist in updating and creating new presentation materials for content-driven meetings
• Assist in scheduling internal and external meetings
• Perform assignments and projects as determined by leadership.
• Utilize project management skills to manage and report on assignment and project status.
• Build a network of contacts within assigned line of business or division as well as across the organization.
• Effectively communicate with others, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Complete assigned coursework and participate in self-learning.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
