ChampionX is searching for a District Representatives to join our Accelerated Account Manager program in our Chemical Technologies North America Offshore Region. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel or reside within 50 miles of Sugar Land, Texas, Baton Rouge or New Orleans, Louisiana. You will participate in a rigorous 18-24 months training program to develop your technical and account management skills. These skills will be built through field, instructor led, and computer-based training programs which have been successfully deployed for 20+ years.

After completing the training program, you will be responsible for ChampionX products and services in targeted accounts within the Oil and Gas industry. You will deploy a counselor sales approach with an emphasis on strong account management skills to support strategic ChampionX accounts. Additionally, you will build long-term relationships with a diverse customer base by understanding their key business drivers and supporting them to execute their tactical and strategic plans.

This is an entry-level account management role where you will learn the following:

  • Sell the organization's products and services

  • Develop an internal peer network by collaborating with direct colleagues and various operational support functions

  • Demonstrate ability to comprehend foundational technical challenges, product applications, and understand customer's needs

What You Will Do:

  • Assist in performing customer service and account management activities under the guidance and supervision of experienced professionals

  • Provide technical support to customers, identifying improvement opportunities

  • Collect data via sample capture and conduct laboratory analysis which you will then turn into insights and action to validate program efficacy or drive change

  • Engage in problem-solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data, providing written recommendations, and project management to ensure customer operations perform optimally

  • Actively sell and support ChampionX innovations and technologies to promote long-term business relationships

  • Assist in developing strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new customers

Position Details:

  • Work week and shift: Required to work at customers' sites offshore with overnight stays during the week, weekends, and holidays. Future work assignments can be offshore rotation

  • Must be willing to relocate at the conclusion of our program

  • Home-based when not visiting customers' site

  • Up to 50% overnight travel required to support sales territory

  • Ability to travel

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.), or Business

  • 2 years of successful oil and gas technical or field offshore experience

  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

  • Immigration sponsorship is not offered for this role

Physical Demands:

  • Role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to the employer or customer drug testing

  • May be required to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 55 pounds chest high

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of successful oil and gas technical or field support experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.), or Business

  • High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal business systems)

  • History of working autonomously and self-motivated

  • Experience requiring excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Experience demonstrating integrity, accountability, collaboration, resourceful, and agility
